Free Belmont Stakes Picks
Our panel of handicapping experts has broken down all angles of this weekend’s Belmont Stakes and has selected the following as their official free Belmont Picks.
Big Brown
You can hear the critics everywhere – Horrible odds at 2/5 ($2.00 wager to net a whopping $2.80), history against him on winning the Triple Crown (first in 30 years), news report about the hoof issues, questions about his stamina, PETA making noise about steroid usage, poor starting position (#1 spot).
The list of one liner’s on why not to back this amazing horse are endless. Despite all of this, Big Brown has won all five starts by a combined margin of 39 lengths. He decimated the fields in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes. Experts agree that Big Brown has yet to be opened up in a race and has won without even trying. If this is true, despite the astronomical odds, how do you not back Big Brown Saturday? Honestly, were not sure.

Will Denis of Cork repeat his brother’s (Empire Maker) Triple Crown upset of Funny Cide in the 2003 Belmont Stakes? After running third in the Kentucky Derby, he skipped the Preakness to prepare for Saturday’s race. The most impressive part about his 3rd place finish was the fact he was able to rebound after he broke poorly. With the Belmont Stakes being such a long race, we really like his chances to be in the race down the stretch. With juicy 12-1 odds, Dennis of Cork is a solid choice in his sixth career start at

Our analysis concludes that the above three horses should be mixed up in exactas and trifectas and hope Big Brown comes in 2nd or 3rd giving you a great pay day. Even thought we think everything points to another Big Brown blowout, at 2/5 odds it is nearly impossible to go into this race and empty the ATM machine out to profit 80 cents. With the world betting everything they can on Big Brown we are getting great value on our other two choices, especially on the 12-1 Dennis of Cork.
