Always Dreaming Triple Crown Odds
Following his win in the Kentucky Derby, what are the odds that Always Dreaming wins the Triple Crown in 2017?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Always Dreaming has 4/1 odds to win the 2017 Triple Crown. The odds that he’ll come up short of his Triple Crown bid, meanwhile, are 1/6. That means a winning wager would pay out $1 for every $6 wagered that Always Dreaming will not win both the Preakness Stakes and Belmont.
Always Dreaming won the Kentucky Derby on Saturday as one of the favorites. From post position five, Always Dreaming navatigated through the heavy traffic with a burst of early speed. He then settled behind long shot State of Honor, moved to the rail, then went outside of State of Honor down the backstretch. State of Honor then faded, but Always Dreaming quickly drew away from a group that also included Battle of Midway and Irish War Cry. Always Dreaming won by 2 3/4 lengths.
The early odds for the 2017 Preakness Stakes are out and Always Dreaming is the favorite at EVEN. Irish War Cry, who was supposed to challenge for the win in the Kentucky Derby but finished 10th, has the next-best odds at +550, followed by Classic Empire at +650.
Continuing with the 2017 Preakness Stakes odds, Battle of Midway is +1100, Cloud Computing is +1400, and Conquest Mo Money is +1600. Gunnevera and Malagacy are also +1600, respectively, followed by Practical Joke at +1800.
The 2017 Preakness Stakes is scheduled for Saturday, May 20.
