Helio Castroneves Indy 500 Odds

A three-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, will Helio Castroneves make a push for a fourth championship this Sunday?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Castroneves is listed with 9/1 odds to win the Indianapolis 500. Scott Dixon is a 6/1 favorite while three others have 9/1 odds as well. The Indianapolis 500 takes place on Sunday at 11AM ET from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Bet on the Indianapolis 500

Castroneves won the first two Indy 500’s he took part in in 2001 and 2002. He would return to victory lane in 2009 for his third title. He also has finished runner-up twice, including in the 2014 race. He finished 11th a year ago and seventh in 2015. Castroneves will be starting from the 19th position, which isn’t ideal. It is his worst starting position in his history of this race.

Castroneves has had a respectable 2017 season thus far. While he has yet two win, he still hasn’t finished outside the top 10. He has yet to win, but he has finished in the top 5 in three straight races. That is pretty good considering he is coming to one of his best tracks. A win for him would be his first since 2014.
