Will Power Indy 500 odds
Will Power has competed in nine Indianapolis 500 races over the years. Will 2017 finally be the year he gets a victory?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Power is listed with 10/1 odds to win the Indianapolis 500. Scott Dixon is a 6/1 favorite while four others have 9/1 odds. The Indianapolis 500 takes place on Sunday at 11AM ET from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Power has been all over the map in the Indy 500. He finished runner-up in the 2015 race and as poorly as 28th in 2012. He has finished in the top-10 of the race five different times, including 10th last year and eighth in 2014. Power starts ninth on Sunday, his ninth straight year qualifying inside the top 10 for the race. Last time he started ninth was 2009, when he finished fifth.
Power is a former IndyCar series champion, taking the title in 2014. Power got off to a slow start this year, finishing outside the top 10 in his first three races. However, he has since gotten on track. He finished second in Phoenix and then won the last race on Indy’s road course.
