According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Hunter-Reay is listed with 9/1 odds to win the Indianapolis 500. Scott Dixon is a 6/1 favorite while three others have 9/1 odds as well. The Indianapolis 500 takes place on Sunday at 11AM ET from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Hunter-Reay will be competing in his 10th Indy 500 on Sunday. He is a previous winner, taking home the title 2014 after starting from the 19th position. He has just one other top-5 finish in this race, which was third in 2013. The last two years he has failed to crack the top 10.
Following a poor start to the 2017 season, Hunter-Reay could use a win on Sunday. He is currently eighth in the point standings right now. In the five races, he has finished outside the top 10 in three of them. His top finish was third in the last race at the Indy road course. He also finished fourth at St. Petersburg, another road course.
