According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Montoya is listed at 13/2 to win Sunday’s Indy 500. Scott Dixon is the favorite with 9/2 odd while Simon Pagenaud and Will Power each have 11/2 odds. This race will take place on Sunday at Noon ET from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Montoya is entering his third Indianapolis 500 this week. In two prior Indy 500s, he finished with a win and a fifth place. He made his debut way back in 2000 and won the race after starting second. He then returned last season and finished fifth after starting from the 10th position. Montoya qualified 15th for this year’s race.
Montoya is in his second full-time season of IndyCar. He finished fourth in the point standings last year and had one victory. This season, he is the current points leaders with 171 points. He won the season opener and has had four top-5 finishes in five races this year.
