According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Will Power, Simone Pagenaud and Juan Pablo Montoya are all favored to win, as each has 13/2 odds while Scott Dixon has 7/1 odds. The Indianapolis 500 takes place today at 11AM ET and will air live on ABC.
Juan Pablo Montoya is the defending champion and two-time winner of this race. While he starts 17th today he came from 15th last year to win. This is his kind of race and he already owns an IndyCar win in 2016. Look for Montoya to push for back-to-back wins today.
Ryan Hunter-Reay is listed with 14/1 odds today and we like those odds for a former winner. The 2014 champion is starting from the third position in this race. He could use a big performance today to spark his season standing. With solid runs leading up at the track, look for Hunter-Reay to push for a second win.
Marco Andretti is a 20/1 dark horse today, but he has been awfully close to winning this race in the past. He has finished in the top 10 seven different times and placed in the top 5 five times. Today he starts 14th, but knows how to get to the front of the pack. With a little luck, Andretti can cash in big today.
