According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Scott Dixon is the favorite to win this race, as he has 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Will Power (5/1), while Helio Castroneves, Juan Pablo Montoya and Simon Pagenaud each have 6/1 odds. The Firestone 600 is a 600km race taking place at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night at 8:50PM ET on the NBC Sports Network.
Scott Dixon won this race last year and he also picked up the win in 2008. He is having a strong season thus far, sitting second in the point standings with one victory to his credit. Dixon seems to do well on this fast, open tracks, so look for him to be pushing for the win tonight.
Helio Castroneves has won this race four times, so it’s hard to pass him up. Obviously this is a track he performs very well at, and like Dixon, he is stronger on the fast tracks. While he hasn’t won this year, he has been very close multiple times, so look for tonight to be his breakthrough.
Ryan Hunter-Reay has 12/1 odds to win tonight, but we think he could payoff for you. He finished second in this race in 2013 and he is also strong on the open tracks, being a former Indy 500 winner. He is coming off a pair of top-10 performances in Detroit last week and should be set for another strong run tonight.
