IndyCar Racing Predictions – Grand Prix of Long Beach 4/9/17

IndyCar Racing Predictions – Grand Prix of Long Beach 4/9/17 IndyCar Racing Predictions – Grand Prix of Long Beach 4/9/17

Grand Prix of Long Beach Picks

The IndyCar Series will be in full swing this afternoon for the Grand Prix of Long Beach. Here are some drivers we like to contend for the win.

The Grand Prix of Long Beach is a 157-mile race that is held at Long Beach street circuit in Long Beach, California. The race takes place on Sunday at 4PM ET and will air on NBCSN. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Ed Jones is favored to win, as he has 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Simon Pagenaud and Will Power, who each have 4/1 odds.

Bet on the Grand Prix of Long Beach

Simon Pagenaud is the driver I like today. He is the defending champion of this race and was the 2016 series champion. He picked up five wins last year and started this season by finishing second in the first race. He should be right in the mix again today.

Scott Dixon has 5/1 odds to win today. He won this race back in 2015 and finished second last year. Dixon didn’t have a great 2016, finishing sixth in the series, but he took third at St. Petersburg and can build on that this week at a track he’s very comfortable at.

Helio Castroneves has 8/1 odds today and he is seeking his first win since 2014, but there is reason to believe that today could be his day. He finished third at this track last year and second in 2015, so he does well at Long Beach. He also was third in the point standings a year ago despite being winless. That means he was regularly in the mix to win, just couldn’t quite get there. I think he is in the mix again today, just needs to get a little luck.
