Honda Indy 200 Predictions

The IndyCar Series will return to racing action later today with the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. Here are some drivers that should contend for the victory.

The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio is a 203-mile race that is held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The race takes place today at 3PM ET and will air on CNBC. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Scott Dixon, Simon Pagenaud and Will Power are all 4/1 co-favorites to win this weekend.

Bet on the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio

Scott Dixon is a five-time winner at this track, last taking the title in 2014. Dixon is the points leader in the series thanks to finishing in the top 10 in all but one race this year. Dixon only has one win on the year, but his consistent performances always make him a top candidate for the win. I like Dixon to get his second win of the year today.

Graham Rahal has 8/1 odds for today’s race, but I think he has a lot of good value there. After a slow start to the season, Rahal has been running very strong as of late. He had a pair of wins in Detroit and has finished in the top 10 in six straight races. Rahal was also the 2015 winner of this race, so he has plenty of confidence coming into today.

Ryan Hunter Reay is a longshot with 15/1 odds today, but there is some reason to think he could pull off the upset. Hunter Reay hasn’t had much to be excited about this year, but he has finished in the top 6 in his last two races and seems to be building some momentum for his team. He comes to a track where he has finished in the top 10 in three of the last four years as well, so I think he has what it takes to compete for the win and perhaps steal it with a little luck.
