According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Cameron McEvoy is favored to win, as he has -250 odds. Other short odds to win are Nathan Adrian (+295) and Ning Zetao (+650). The Rio Olympics continue today through Aug. 21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Adrian competes for the United States. He won the gold medal in this event at 2012 and also has won gold in the 4×100 relay at the last three Olympic games. His top time in this event is 47.52.
Zetao competes for China. He is competing in his first Olympic games. He won the 2015 World Championship in this event and also won the 2014 Asian Games. His top time in this event is 47.65.
