Can Michael Phelps add to his gold medal total when he competes in the 200-meter Butterfly at the Rio Summer Olympics?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Phelps is the slight favorite to win gold, as he has +105 odds to win. The other short odds to prevail are Tamas Kenderesi (+350) and Laszlo Cseh (+400). The Rio Olympics continue today through Aug. 21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Phelps has now won 19 gold medals for the Americans in his swimming career. He has won this event in 2004 and 2008 while taking the silver in 2012. He already has won gold in a relay at the 2016 games. His top time in this event is 1:51.51, which is a world record.

Kenderesi competes for Hungary. He is looking to earn his first Olympics medal. He finished third at the 2016 European Championship and was the 2014 gold medal winner in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics.

Cseh also competes for Hungary. He took home the silver medal at the 2008 Olympics in this event and was 12th at the 2012 games. He since won the 2015 World Championship in this distance.
