Mint Lane Odds
Peter Pan Stakes’ second place finisher Mint Lane will have to have a career-best showing at the 2008 Belmont Stakes in order to knock off the heavy favorites. Oddsmakers from Online Sports Book Bodog have made Mint Lane a long shot at 50/1 odds to win the Belmont Stakes.
Bet on Mint Lane in the 2008 Belmont Stakes
There’s not a ton of buzz around Mint Lane heading into the Belmont Stakes. Not many view him as a legitimate contender, despite having some success in other races.
Mint Lane’s best run so far this year was at the Peter Pan Stakes, won impressively by Casino Drive. Mint Lane was an 18-1 winner at the Peter Pan Stakes, so he does have some value in him at 50/1 odds to win the Belmont Stakes.
However, clearly oddsmakers don’t have a ton of faith in him at 50/1 odds and while he did have a good showing at the Peter Pan Stakes, he (along with Tomcito, Spark Candle, Icabad Crane, Readys Image, Macho Again and Anak Nakal) are all long shots to give Big Brown a run for his money.
