Independence Day marks the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. Which competitive eaters are favored to win?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the men’s odds are focused on the showdown between Matt Stonie and Joey Chestnut. Stonie is listed with +100 odds to win while Chestnut has -140 odds. The over/under for total dogs eaten by the winner is set at 65.5. The 100th Annual Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest takes place today at Noon ET and airs on ESPN.

Chestnut won the title from 2007-2014, but was upset last year by Stonie. Stonie took down a total of 62 hot dogs while Chestnut had 60. The record is held by Chestnut, as he ate 69 in 2013, but his total has dropped each year since. The total has only been over 65 four times in the history of the event.

For the women’s Miki Sudo is a -330 favorite to top Sonya Thomas for the honor, while the over/under for dogs eaten is listed at 39.5. Sudo has won this event the last two years, but Thomas was the winner from 2011-2013, the first three years there was a women’s competition. Thomas has the all-time record with 45 hot dogs. Sudo’s best showing was 38, which she did last year.
