Milwaukee Bucks vs Boston Celtics
The Bucks offer the second to lowest odds to win the 2019 NBA Championship. Although the odds are under +500 at +450, Milwaukee might offer the most value of any team left in the NBA Playoffs. Milwaukee has a real shot of sweeping the Celtics in Round 2.
The Celtics did play better, but they’re not playing nearly well enough to beat Milwaukee. At +450, Milwaukee might be an overlay. At +1400, the Celtics might be an underlay. Do your own handicapping before taking our word for it, though!
Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors
The NBA Championship odds on Philadelphia and Toronto show a stark contrast. Most feel the Raptors have what it takes to upset the Bucks and win the Eastern Conference while most also feel that the 76ers aren’t capable of winning the East.
Toronto should lose only a single game versus the 76ers. If they do beat the Sixers 4-1, they’ll have a shot against the Bucks. At +1000, the Raptors offer overlay odds.
Don’t be surprised if some pay per head agents lower the odds on the Raptors to around +800 or so.
NBA Playoffs Round 2 Almost Matchups
Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets
Golden State has a 3-1 lead over the L.A. Clippers while the Houston Rockets have a 3-1 lead over the Utah Jazz. Both should close out their foes in their respective Game 5 battles.
Golden State most definitely offers underlay odds. Some online bookie agents want bettors to back the Warriors at -200.
Golden State just doesn’t seem to have the killer instinct they displayed the past couple of seasons.
The Houston Rockets do have that killer instinct. Houston can beat the Warriors. It might take 6 or 7 games, but The Beard, CP3, and the rest of the Rockets can take this series.
Houston’s an overlay at +600. Stay away from Golden State unless you’re willing to lay at least $400 so that you can make a $200 profit.
Portland Trail Blazers vs Denver Nuggets
Denver must beat San Antonio one more time. They’ve got a couple of games in which to do it. The Portland Trail Blazers easily handled the Oklahoma City Thunder. Once Denver disposes of the Spurs, they’ll be slightly favored to beat the Trail Blazers. It will take 7 games, but the Nuggets should win and move on.
NBA handicappers should note that of all the teams listed, online bookies might be most fearful of the Trail Blazers and Nuggets. Their odds are much higher than they should be to win the NBA Championship.
Bookies aren’t worried so much about the Warriors because few players will put enough on Golden State to move the needle while many agents are also seriously considering lowering the odds on Milwaukee, Toronto, and Houston.
