Bet the Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Cowboys a -1.5 point spread favorite. The over/under for this game has been set at 43 total points.
The Cowboys get a huge boost this week with the return of quarterback Tony Romo, who has missed significant time after breaking his pinkie finger in a loss to the Cardinals earlier this season. Conversely, the Redskins will be without MVP candidate Clinton Portis, who suffered a MCL injury last week.
Washington is 4-1 against the spread vs. Dallas over the last three seasons and 2-0 ATS while playing the Cowboys at home over the last three seasons. Three of the four games in this series have also gone over the total the past three years.
The stats really favor the Redskins in this matchup, especially on defense. Washington is allowing only 193.8 yards through the air this year, while Dallas is surrounding 195 YPG. Against the run, the Skins’ are allowing 79 YPG, compared to the Cowboys’ allowing 105.9 YPG. Washington is giving up only 18.7 points per game, while Dallas is giving up close to 25 PPG.
Romo coming back is huge for the Cowboys, but he’ll probably be rusty in his first game back and the Skins are playing well defensively this season. Expect Jason Campbell to make more big plays in the passing game with Portis out and for the Redskins to come up with a huge victory.
