Public Favors Broncos
A wild one may take place in Denver this weekend when the Broncos host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Oddsmakers have made the Broncos 5-point favorites.
The Saints come into this game a little banged up with receiver Marques Colston out with injury. After a solid first half last week in Washington, New Orleans eventually fell to the Redskins for its first loss of the season. They’ll face the fast-starting Broncos this Sunday, after Denver notched its second win of the year last week in a wild (and controversial) game against the Chargers.
These two teams have already proven that they can score points and their defenses haven’t been that great, so the over might be a good play. Denver gave up 38 points last week to San Diego and the Saints have given up at least 20 points in their first two games as well. This game offers plenty of offensive fire power in Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBG Global have made the Broncos a 5-point favorite and the over/under total has been set at 51. Current public betting information shows that 67% of bettors favor Denver to cover the 5-point spread.
This should be a wild one, but a game that Denver should win. They arguably have better overall talent, especially with Colston out for the Saints. But don’t think New Orleans is a push over. The Saints might be catching the Broncos at the right time after Denver had an emotional win last week. The Broncos should win, but the cover might be hard to secure. We predict the Broncos over the Saints 34-30.
