Prediction:
The Panthers definitely have the better overall talent, but the Falcons have fared well in Carolina the past couple of years. Defensive end John Abraham has proven to be a pain in the ass for quarterback Jake Delhomme, even registering three sacks and a force fumble in his first ever game against the Panthers. The key for the Falcons will be whether or not rookie QB Matt Ryan can handle the pressure that Carolina’s defense is expected to bring. If Ryan can get a solid contribution from running back Michael Turner like he did in Atlanta’s two wins this season, the Falcons could pull off an upset. We predict the Falcons over the Panthers 17-13.
