Cowboys Road Favs
The NFL’s game of the week arguably occurs in Cleveland as the Browns will host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Oddsmakers have made the Cowboys 6-point favorites.
The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most talented teams in the NFC, if not the most talented team. No team is a lock to make the playoffs, but the Cowboys are as close to a lock as they come. Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Marion Barber III and Terrell Owens form a dynamic offense, while the defense – led by DeMarcus Ware and Roy Williams – is stacked as well.
The Cleveland Browns will be out to prove that 2007 wasn’t a fluke. There are questions regarding whether or not Derek Anderson was a one-year wonder, but he has more than enough talent around him to succeed again in 2008. Jamal Lewis, Kellen Winslow Jr. and Braylon Edwards all return to an offense that averaged just less than 30 points a game last year and the defense has been dramatically upgraded.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Cowboys 6-point road favorites. The over under total has been set at 49. Current public betting information notes that 83% of bettors favor Dallas -6. Expect a high scoring game in this one, even though the Cowboys have a solid defense and the Browns have improved theirs. Both offenses can light up the scoreboard, although the Cowboys might be too strong in the end for Cleveland. We predict the Cowboys over the Browns 34-24.
Cowboys at Browns Game Odds, Spread & Over Under Total
Cowboys –6 over 49
Browns +6 under 49
