Jags Home Favorites
Two physical teams meet in Jacksonville as the Jaguars host the undefeated Buffalo Bills. Oddsmakers have made the Jaguars 5-point favorites in Week 2.
The Buffalo Bills might be one of the surprises in the AFC if they can beat the Jaguars on the road. In last week’s win over Seattle, the Bills defense stopped the run and forced quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to beat them through the air, which he couldn’t do. If Buffalo wants to stay undefeated on this young season, it will once again have to stop the run and get pressure on Garrard, just like Tennessee did last week against the Jags.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are off to a rough start in the 2008 NFL Season. David Garrard was sacked seven times and the usually potent running game was stuffed in a 17-10 loss to the Tennessee last Sunday. The defense still played well, but not having the threat of a running game really hampered the Jags’ passing attack and therefore points were at a premium. Buffalo did a nice job against the Seahawks last week, so it’ll be interesting to see whether or not Jacksonville’s offense can get back on track.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Jaguars 5-point favorites. The over/under total has been set at 37 and current public betting information shows that 72% of bettors favor Buffalo +5. The Bills need to take a cue from what Tennessee did last week into Jacksonville this Sunday. The Titans laid out a blueprint to how to beat the Jags, and it consists of stopping the run and getting to Garrard. That’s easier said than done, however, and it’s not likely the Jags put together back-to-back poor performances. We predict the Jaguars over the Bills 16-10.
Bills at Jaguars Game Odds, Spread & Over Under Total

Jaguars –5 under 37
