Saints Road Favs
The New Orleans Saints head to the nation’s capital to take on the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Oddsmakers have made the Saints 1-point favorites in Week 2.
The New Orleans Saints got off to a great start with a 24-20 win over division rival Tampa Bay in Week 1. The offseason additions the Saints made on defense didn’t sparkle against the Bucs, but they were solid nonetheless. It’ll be important for New Orleans’ passing game to be at the top of its game, because Washington has the ability to take away the run.
The Washington Redskins looked disastrous offensively in Week 1 against the Giants, but they did start to click towards halftime and throughout the second half. It wasn’t enough for the Skins to get the win, but it was a promising sign for a team that is learning a completely new offense under head coach Jim Zorn. Clinton Portis looked good in the running game, but Washington’s success Sunday could fall on the shoulders of quarterback Jason Campbell.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Saints 1-point favorites. The over/under total has been set at 42 and current public betting information shows that 76% of bettors favor New Orleans –1. The Saints are the better overall team, but the Redskins are working on more days off since they played last Thursday night. Still, New Orleans shouldn’t have much trouble scoring points and Campbell and the Redskins offense still needs time to gel. We predict the Saints over the Redskins 24-20.
Saints at Redskins Game Odds, Spread & Over Under Total

Redskins +1 under 42
