Prediction:
Two weeks ago the Patriots looked befuddled on how to stop Ronnie Brown and the Dolphins as they ran all over them using the “Wildcat” formation. New England won’t have to worry about facing that formation this week in San Francisco, however, as 49ers’ offensive coordinator Mike Martz has been reluctant to change his offensive approach since he got into the league. The 49ers will try to spread the Patriot defense out and running underneath crossing routes to neutralize New England’s pass rush. Don’t expect it to work. Bill Belichick isn’t going to allow his team to lose back-to-back games, especially considering the Pats are coming off a bye. We predict the Patriots over the 49ers 17-10.
