Panthers-Seahawks total on the move
SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) – With both oddsmakers and bettors expecting a low-scoring game, the line in tonight’s Panthers-Seahawks matchup is on the move.
The total in tonight’s Divisional round playoff game between Carolina and Seattle opened at 40.5 but the line has been moving over the past hour.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the over/under for tonight’s matchup is now down to 39.5. That’s the same number listed at some Vegas sports books as well, including the MGM Mirage and Station Casinos Race & Sports Book. Other online and Vegas books have dropped the number to 40.
When you consider how hot the Panthers and Seahawks have been defensively over the past month, you understand the line movement. Carolina’s defense allowed just 43 points over its past four games and held Arizona to just 73 yards of total offense in last week’s Wildcard round. Seattle’s defense has been even bettor, allowing 39 points over its final six games. The under is also a near-perfect 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams as well.
