Prediction:
This should be a tough, physical battle and whichever team wins in the trenches will probably win on the scoreboard as well. San Diego running back LaDainain Tomlinson has not be as effective as he has been in recent years, but quarterback Philip Rivers has certainly picked up the slack. The Chargers defense, however, has not been overly impressive like they were a year ago and that’s part of the reason they’ve stumbled a bit out of the gates. Buffalo on the other hand, has looked awfully sharp on both sides of the ball outside of their only loss to Arizona before the bye. In that game, quarterback Trent Edwards left the contest early because he was shaken up following a big hit. The point spread might as well be a pick’em and even though this is an even matchup, we like the home favorites and think the Bills will continue to impress this year. We predict the Bills over the Chargers 23-20.
