Jags Road Favorites
Is this the year the Jacksonville Jaguars climb to the top of the AFC South? Oddsmakers have made the Jags 3-point favorites over division rival Tennessee on Sunday.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have everything it takes to make a run at a Super Bowl title. Their running game is one of the best in the league, their quarterback David Garrard doesn’t make mistakes and their defense is nasty and physical. It all comes down to execution for them now.
The Tennessee Titans will once again rely on quarterback Vince Young’s playmaking and a physical defense to win games in 2008. Young hasn’t yet developed as a passer, but his offensive line is solid and the running game received a boost with rookie Chris Johnson being selected in the first round. The Titans will probably stay grounded, however, if Young can’t develop as a passer.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Jaguars 3-point road favorites. The over under total has been set at 36.5. Current public betting information notes that 68% of bettors favor the Jaguars –3. The Titans are going to be tough at home, but the Jags have the better overall talent. Expect this game to be low scoring and physical. We predict the Jaguars over Titans 17-13.
Jaguars at Titans Game Odds, Spread & Over Under Total
Jaguars –3 over 36.5
Titans +3 under 36.5
