Oklahoma Season Odds
Can the Oklahoma Sooners put their crushing 48-28 loss to West Virginia in last year’s Fiesta Bowl behind them? Oddsmakers think so, and have established Oklahoma’s odds to win the 2009 BCS National Championship at 6/1.

The Sooners welcome back a host of talent on both offense and defense. Leading the offense is Heisman Trophy hopefuls DeMarco Murray and quarterback Sam Bradford. Murray only rushed for 764 yards last season, but he split carries and will have more of a role in this year’s offense. Bradford was incredible, throwing for 3,121 yards and rarely turned the ball over. Safety Nic Harris, defensive end Auston English and cornerback Lendy Holmes return to lead the defense.
Oklahoma is one of the favorites to win a national title this season. Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have established the Sooners’ odds to win the 2009 BCS Championship at 6/1, while Sportsbook.com has them at 5/1 and SBG Global at 8/1.
If it weren’t for Bradford suffering a late season injury last year, the Sooners could have possibly played for the 2008 BCS National Championship. The loss to West Virginia in the Fiesta Bowl will be tough to get over, but head coach Bob Stoops always has a top-notch defense and Murray could be unstoppable this year in OK’s backfield. The Sooners should have no problem winning the Big 12 again this season and if they stay healthy, could easily contend for a national title as well.
