Prediction:
The Carolina Panthers got their bell rung last week in Tampa Bay, but don’t expect back-to-back terrible performances against division opponents. The Saints might still be the best team in the NFC South, but they haven’t been consistent this year and it’s cost them close victories. They’ll try to beat Carolina through the air this week, but that might be tough. The Panthers have done an incredible job taking away opponents’ ground games and forcing them to pass in unfavorable situations. It’s hard to bet against Drew Brees, Reggie Bush and Marques Colston (who returns this week from injury), but Carolina has had some success against New Orleans in the recent past and we like the home favs in this one. We predict the Panthers to beat the Saints in a shootout, 31-27.
