Offseason Additions:
The team added Rudy Fernandez and Jerryd Bayless this offseason, but getting Greg Oden back from injury might be the biggest thing for this team. Oden suffered a knee injury that left him sidelined for the entire 2007-08 season.
2008-2009 Season Outlook:
The front office has done a tremendous job remaking the roster and adding some quality young pieces to the mix. Getting Oden back is huge and obviously Brandon Roy is ready to take the next step as an All-Star caliber guard.
But can the Trail Blazers take the next step as a team? Roy, Oden, Bayless, Fernandez, Martell Webster, LaMarcus Aldridge, Travis Outlaw and Channing Frye are all 25 years or younger. If they can unit in a hurry, this team could make a splash this season. Obviously having to compete in the Western Conference will be tough, but the Blazers could be the surprise of the NBA.
