Updated Preakness Stakes Odds
Here’s a look at the morning odds for Saturday’s 2017 Preakness Stakes, the second leg of horse racing’s triple crown.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Always Dreaming is 5/7 to win the Preakness Stakes. He is the hands-down favorite to win at Pimlico Race Course this evening after winning the Kentucky Derby two weeks ago. Always Dreaming also won the Florida Derby this year in impressive fashion.
The contender with the next-odds to win today is Classic Empire, who is 12/5. He placed fourth at Churchill Downs two weeks ago after once being favored to win the Kentucky Derby. He also won the Grade 1 Arkansas Derby in mid-April, placed third in the Grade 2 Holy Bull, and won both the Breeders’ Futurity Stakes and the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.
Continuing with the current Preakness Stakes odds, listed after Always Dreaming and Classic Empire is Hence at 5/1. Cloud Computing and Gunnevera are both 6/1, respectively, while Conquest Mo Money is 11/1. Lookin At Lee, who finished as the runner-up to Always Dreaming in the Kentucky Derby, is 14/1, followed by Multiplier at 15/1. The two biggest long shots in today’s field are Senior Investment at 30/1 and Term of Art at 45/1.
The 2017 Preakness Stakes will be the 142nd running of the event and will broadcast on NBC starting at 5:00PM ET. The race will be held at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland.
