Women’s 200m Dash Pick

The gold in the Women’s 200-meter Dash at the Rio Olympics will be decided tonight. Here’s our pick for the winner.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Dafne Schippers is the favorite to win, as she is getting odds of -155 to win. Other short odds to win are Elaine Thompson (+175) and Tori Bowie (+600). The 200-meter dash is scheduled to take place tonight at 9:30PM ET.

Bet on the Rio Olympics

Schippers was the favorite to win the 100 going into the Olympics but finished fifth in the finals. She is the 2015 World Champion in the 200 as well and comes in as the favorite tonight. Her top time is 21.63.

Thompson competes for Jamaica. She finished second to Schippers in the 200 at the 2015 World Championships. She took the gold in the 100-meter dash at these Olympics and her top time in this race is 21.66.

Bowie has been good, but this race seems to be about Schippers and Thompson. Schippers looked good in the semifinals, but hasn’t been able to break through with a great run at the Olympics. Thompson has been the one setting the pace in sprinting events. Look for her to do the same tonight.

RIO OLYMPICS FREE PICK: ELAINE THOMPSON +175
