Men’s 100m Dash Olympic Odds
Will Usain Bolt prove to be the fastest man alive once again at the 2016 Summer Olympics? Here’s a look at the odds for the 100-meter dash.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Usain Bolt is the clear favorite with -200 odds. Other short odds to win are Justin Gatlin (+165) and Yohan Blake (+1050). The Rio Olympics take place from August 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Bolt, who competes for Jamaica, holds the world record in this event with a 9.58 time. He has won the gold medal in this event in the last two Olympic Games. He also won the 2015 World Championship in this event with a time of 9.79.
Gatlin runs for the United States and his best time in this event is 9.74. He won the bronze in the 100-meter dash at the 2012 Olympics and took second in the event at the 2015 World Championships.
Blake also competes for Jamaica. He has a personal best time of 9.69 in the 100-meter dash. He finished second to Bolt at the 2012 Olympics Games. He was the 2011 World Champion, but hasn’t been able to compete on the world stage much the last few years due to injuries.
