Women’s Badminton Olympic Odds
The battle for gold in Women’s Badminton at the 2016 Summer Olympics looks to be quite competitive. Here is a look at the odds for the top contenders.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Xuerui Li is favored to win this event, as she has +285 odds to win. Other short odds are Carolina Marin (+375) and Ratchanok Intanon (+525). The Rio Olympics take place from August 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Li competes for China. She is the defending Olympic gold medalist. She finished second in the 2013 and 2014 World Championships, as well as the 2014 Asian Games champion.
Marin competes for Spain. She is taking part in her first Olympics Games, but comes in as the two-time defending World Champion. She also just won the 2016 European Championship.
Intanon competes for Thailand. She is also competing in her first Olympic Games this year. She won the 2013 World Championship and also the 2015 Asian Championship.
