Men’s 200m IM Olympics Odds
Two American stars look to battle it out for gold at the Rio Summer Olympics in the 200-meter Individual Medley.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michael Phelps is the favorite, as he has -110 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Ryan Lochte (+200) and Kosuke Hagino (+300). The Rio Olympics take place from August 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Phelps is the American star that has won 18 Olympic gold medals over the last three Olympic Games. He has won the gold in this event the last two Olympics. He hasn’t competed at the world stage much since the 2012 games, but won the 2015 U.S. Nationals in this event.
Lochte is a fellow American that has won five gold medals over a string of three Olympics as well. He won gold at the 2012 Olympics in the 400-meter medley, but took home silver in this event, losing to Phelps. He has won gold in this event at the last four World Championships.
Hagino competes for Japan. He is set to compete in his second Olympic Games. In 2012 he took home one bronze medal, which came in the 400-meter medley. He won the 2014 World Championship in this event on a short course and was third in the 2013 World Championships on a long course.
