Women’s 400m Freestyle Rio Odds
Katie Ledecky is an overwhelming favorite to win gold in the Women’s 400-meter Freestyle at the Rio Olympics. Here are her odds to win.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Ledecky is listed with -5000 odds to win the gold in this event. Other short odds to win are Leah Smith (+1200) and Boglarka Kapas (+2000). The Rio Olympics take place from August 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Ledecky competes for the US. She won gold at the 2012 Olympics in the 800-meter but has since won the 2013 and 2015 World Championships in the 400-meter. She currently owns the world record in the swim of 3:58.37.
Smith competes for the United States and is making her Olympic debut. She has had World Championship success in relay events. Here biggest success in the 400-meter came at the 2015 Summer Universiade, where she won.
Kapas competes for Hungary. She is competing in the Olympics for the first time. She is the 2016 European Champion in the 400-meter and also placed third at the 2015 World Championships in the 1,500-meter freestyle.
