Women’s 100m Backstroke Odds
Which swimmer will come away with the gold in the Women’s 100-meter Backstroke at the Rio Olympics? Get a look at the latest odds.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Emily Seebohm is favored to win, as she has -170 odds. Other short odds to prevail are Mie Nielsen (+340) and Katinka Hosszu (+425). The Rio Olympics continue today through Aug. 21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Seebohm competes for Australia. She took home the silver medal in this event at the 2012 Olympics and is the 2015 World Champion in the 100 backstroke as well. She also won the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the 100 backstroke.
Nielsen competes for Denmark. She finished third at the 2015 World Championships in this event and also was the 2014 and 2016 European Champion in this event.
Hosszu competes for Hungary. She already claimed one gold medal in this Olympics, winning the 400 medley. She has won a number of world championships in the medley, but none in the backstroke in a long course pool.
