Men’s 200m Dash Olympic Odds
Can Usain Bolt add another gold medal to his total at the Rio Summer Olympics when he competes in the 200-meter Dash?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Bolt is the clear favorite to win, as he has -335 odds to win. Other short odds to prevail are Justin Gatlin (+310) and LaShawn Merritt (+750). The Rio Olympics continue today through Aug. 21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Bolt has won the gold medal in this event at the last two Olympics Games. The Jamaican has a total of six gold medals in his career. He also won the 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015 World Championships in the 200 meter. He holds the world record in this event with a time of 19.19.
Gatlin competes for the United States. He finished with the bronze at the 2004 Olympics in the 200. He finished second at the 2015 World Championships in this event. His best time is 19.57.
Merritt also competes for the United States. He has not medaled at the Olympics in the 200 and is more known for his ability in the 400 meter. His top time in this event is 19.74, which he set in July.
