Men’s 100m Dash Pick
Will Usain Bolt claim another gold in the 100-meter Dash tonight? Here’s our pick for tonight’s final at the Rio Summer Olympics.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Bolt is the clear favorite in this event, as he has -300 odds. Other short odds to prevail are Justin Gatlin (+275) and Yohan Blake (+1600). The 100-meter dash finals are set to take place tonight at 9:25PM from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Bolt has been known as the fastest man alive for nearly a decade. He won the 100 at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and has showed no signs of slowing down. He has looked strong in the early qualifying stages leading up to today, winning heats without having to give his all.
Gatlin was the 2004 Olympic winner for the United States, but he finished with the bronze in 2012 and has finished behind Bolt in most races leading up to tonight. Blake is Bolt’s Jamaican teammate, who finished second to him in the 2012 games, but he hasn’t had much success since on the global stage.
You can’t bet against Bolt. It would be one thing if he looked like he was being challenged, but he hasn’t. Something unexpected like a hamstring injury could always happen, but assuming no injuries take place, there just isn’t anyone fast enough to beat him. Look for Bolt to get another gold.
