According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Serena Williams is a +300 favorite to win the women’s Aussie Open title this year. On the men’s side, Novak Djokovic is the clear favorite, as he has -150 odds to prevail.

Williams is a six-time winner of this event and the defending champion. She nearly completed the grand slam in 2015, losing in the semifinals of the U.S. Open after winning the first three grand slam events. Williams now has 21 grand slam titles, but she comes into this event dealing with injuries, which is why she is just a 3/1 favorite. Victoria Azarenka has 4/1 odds while Maria Sharpova has 7/1 odds. Azarenka is a two-time winner of this event while Sharapova has won it once.

Djokovic is a five-time Aussie Open champion and he has won the title in four of the last five years. He also wasn’t far from a grand slam in 2015, winning three events while finishing runner-up in the French Open. Oddsmakers see Andy Murray as the closest competition for Djokovic, as he has 5/1 odds while Roger Federer has 7/1 odds. Murray has never won this event but has reached the finals in four of the last six years. Federer has won this tournament four times, but the last win came in 2010.
