According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Pagenaud currently has 11/2 odds to win Sunday’s Indy 500. Scott Dixon is the favorite with 9/2 odd while Will Power also has 11/2 odds. This race will take place on Sunday at Noon ET from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Pagenaud is competing in the Indianapolis 500 for just the fourth time in his career. His other three appearances have not gone very well. He finished 16th as a rookie in 2012 and then came in eighth place in 2013. Pagenaud then placed 12th last year. He will start from the third position on Sunday, which is his best starting position in the Indy 500.
This season hasn’t been too kind to Pagenaud either. He is currently 10th in the IndyCar point standings with 101 points. He has two top-5 finishes and three top-10 finishes on the year, but also has finished 20th in one race and 25th in another. Pagenaud did have a pair of wins in the 2014 season and also in the 2013 season, so winning is somewhat normal for him.
