Froome still Tour favorite
The Tour de France returned to action on Tuesday. Here is a look at the latest odds to win the event as we approach Stage 11.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Chris Froome is still the favorite to win, as he has -160 odds to win the Tour de France this year. Other short odds to win are Nairo Quintana (+120), Fabio Aru (+2500) and Richie Porte (+2500). Stage 11 of the Tour takes place on Wednesday. It is an 101-mile flat course from Carcassonne to Montpellier
Stage 10 saw Australia’s Michael Matthews win, edging a large group. Petter Sagan of Slovakia finished second. Froome finished nearly 10 minutes out of first in the stage, taking 29th place. Quintana finished with the same time in 32nd place.
Froome remains the overall leader at 49:08.20. He holds a 16-second lead over Britain’s Adam Yates. Quintana sits in fourth place, 23 seconds out of first place. Aru is in 14th place, 1:23 out of first while Porte is in 14th, 2:10 out of first.
