Froome still Tour favorite
Another stage of the Tour de France is in the books and Chris Froome remains the favorite to win this event.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Froome remains the favorite, as he has -115 odds to take this year’s championship. Other short odds to win are Nairo Quintana (+135) and Fabio Aru (+1200). Stage 5 is a 134.2-mile, mountain course from Limoges to Le Lioran. The stage will be held early on Wednesday.
Stage 4 on Tuesday saw Germany’s Marcel Kittle win the stage by fractions of a second. He finished just ahead of Bryan Coquard and Peter Sagan. Sagan remains in the overall lead following his performance. He has a 12-second lead on Julian Alaphilippe of France.
Froome was 37th on Tuesday and currently sits fifth in the overall standings, 18 seconds out of first place. Quintana placed 44th on Tuesday and now sits seventh overall while Aru placed 27th on Tuesday and now sits eighth overall.
