The Tour de France is 21 stages throughout the country of France and will take place July 1-23. Competitors will go a total distance of 2,200 miles.

Froome is a three-time winner of the Tour de France and the two-time defending champion. The British rider is competing for Team Sky. Along with his three wins, he also finished second in 2012.

Porte is an Australian rider that will compete with the BMC Racing Team. He is looking to win his first Tour de France title. He has competed the last six years and he finished fifth a year ago, his best overall finish. He has cracked the top 20 just twice in six years.

Quintana is a Colombian cyclist that is competing for Movistar Team. He is set to take part in his fourth Tour de France. He has done quite well in his three other appearances. He finished second in 2013 and 2015 while placing third in 2016.
