Donald Trump is favored to win the 2020 Electoral Vote but what odds to Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton face? Here are updated odds for the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election.
Donald Trump (20/23)
As previously mentioned, Trump is favored to win the 2020 Electoral Vote. According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com, Trump has 20/23 odds, which as you can see below, makes him a heavy favorite. On Friday, Louisiana became the first state to postpone its presidential primaries amid the coronavirus outbreak. The state was supposed to have its primaries on April 4, but will instead aim to hold them in June.
Joe Biden (21/20)
Biden has the next-best odds to win the 2020 Electoral Vote after Trump, then there’s a massive drop off. On Sunday night, CNN will host the Biden-Sanders debate in Washington, D.C. and it will be held in front of no live audience in efforts to spreading the new coronavirus. According to FiveThirtyEight.com, after the last debate between the two candidates, Sanders had the largest share of respondents considering backing him, but things have changed dramatically over the past two weeks. The site now notes that Biden leads on this metric, with 63 percent of respondents considering him.
Bernie Sanders (60/1)
Earlier this week, Sanders revealed how he’s feeling about results following another round of primaries and noted how he thinks Biden can beat Trump. Sanders also said, however, that he has the “stronger” campaign to unseat Trump. One of the issues reportedly facing Sanders is that he has struggled to make inroads with key Democratic constituencies – in particular, black voters and older voters. According to FiveThirtyEight.com, Sanders has also fared poorly with women voters.
