Miller enters this fight as the favorite with a betting line of -450 according to online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Ludwig has a line of +325, he is the third option for this fight as Tyson Griffin and Sean Sherk each had to pull out of the fight because of injury. Here is a closer look at both fighters heading into this featured bout, which will take place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday at 10PM ET on Pay-Per View.
Jim Miller (15-2):
Strengths: Miller is a good wrestler that has great cardio. He is never out of a fight but hasn’t been able to decisively put away his opponents. As a wrester, Miller can improve his striking, and in this fight he will definitely be the weaker striker of the two fighters.
Weaknesses: Miller can’t afford to decide to get into a boxing match in this fight as Ludwig has one-punch knockout power. Miller has struggled against bigger wrestlers as well, but that won’t be an issue as Ludwig is not a ground fighter.

Unanimous decision win over Matt Wiman at UFC Fight for the Troops on Dec. 10, 2008
Third round submission win over David Baron at UFC 89 on Oct. 18, 2008
Duane Ludwig (19-9):
Strengths: Ludwig is a very powerful striker that has the ability to end fights quickly. The UFC favors a fighter that can always knockout his opponent and Ludwig fits into that category. He will always have a chance in a fight because of his punching power.
Weaknesses: Ludwig struggles on the ground and his fighting ability is completely based on his ability to knock out his opponent. Ludwig can’t let Miller get him to the ground, or the fight will be lost.
Last Five Fights:
First round submission win over Ryan Roberts at ROF 36 on Dec. 4, 2009
First round submission loss to Lyle Beerbohm at Strikeforce Challengers Series 2 on June 19, 2009
Unanimous decision win over Yves Edwards at Strikeforce Destruction on Nov. 21, 2008
First round TKO win over Sam Morgan at Strikeforce Payback on Oct. 3, 2008
First round TKO loss to Takanori Gomi at Sengoku First Battle on March 5, 2008
Who will win: Ludwig is taking this fight on very short notice which plays into Miller’s hands. Miller should have superior conditioning and preparation for this fight. All Miller has to do is avoid the early explosive punching power from Ludwig, and he should win the fight. Look for Miller to submit a tired Ludwig in the third round.
