Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Redskins a –3.5 point spread favorite. The over/under for this game has been set at 40 total points.
Seattle has been brutal against the number this season. Not only are the Seahawks 1-6 straight up in their last seven games, they’re also 1-4 against the spread in their last five games at home, and just 2-4 against the spread in their last six games when playing the Redskins.
Washington also has a huge advantage in stats outside of points for (18.1 to Seattle’s 19.0). The Redskins have allowed fewer points (18.2 to 25.7), average more passing yards per game (197.7 to 145.5) and more rushing yards per game (138.6 to 108.3). Washington also has better defensive numbers, allowing fewer passing yards per game (194.2 to 265.2) and fewer rushing yards per game (82.8 to 115.5).
The Seahawks got a boost last week with the return of quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, but he struggled in his first game back in over two months. Washington also has a better defense than the one Hasselbeck faced last week (Arizona).
