Winter Olympics Predictions: Who will win Pairs Figure Skating? 2/13/18

Winter Olympics Predictions: Who will win the Women’s Giant Slalom? 2/11/18 Winter Olympics Predictions: Who will win the Women’s Giant Slalom? 2/11/18

Pairs Figure Skating Pick

Early on Wednesday morning, the Pairs Figure Skating competition is set to begin at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Which team will come away with the victory?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Savchenko & Massot are the slight favorites to win, as they have +115 to win. Other short odds to win are Wenjing & Cong (+130) and Tarasova & Morozov (+350).

Bet on Winter Olympics Odds

Aliona Savchenko and Bruno Massot are a German pair. Savchenko is a two-time bronze medalist along with former partner Robin Szolkowy. This duo came away with the silver medal at the 2017 World Championships.

Sui Wenjing and Han Cong compete for China. They were the 2017 world champions in pairs figure skating. They also finished second in the prior two world championships.

Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov compete for Russia. This duo finished third at the 2017 World Championships. These two were part of the Russia team that won silver in the team event.

The German team may be the favorites, but Wenjing and Cong were able to best them at last year’s World Championships. Savchenko and Massot also haven’t always been partners, so I worry about their ability to perform on this stage. Savchenko has been there before, but Massot has not. Wenjing and Cong should have plenty of confidence to win again and I will take my chances on them with slightly longer odds.

WINTER OLYMPICS PREDICTION: WENJING & CONG +130
