Will China be able to dominate Women’s Table Tennis at the upcoming Rio Summer Olympics? Here’s a look at the odds.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Ding Ning is the favorite to win the gold at this year’s games. Other short odds to win are Li Xiaoxia (+150) and Feng Tianwei (+1000). The Rio Olympics take place from August 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Ning competes for China. She finished with the silver in this event at the 2012 Olympics while winning gold as part of China’s team. She has since won the 2015 World Championship, while finishing third in 2013.
Xiaoxia is the defending Olympic gold medal champion, also competing for China. She also won gold as part of the team event in 2012. She won the 2013 World Championship while finishing third at the 2015 games.
Tianwei competes for Singapore. She finished with the bronze at the 2012 games in both individual and team play. She has yet to medal in singles at the World Championships.
