Women’s Triathlon Olympic Odds
Who will have the stamina to win gold in the Women’s Triathlon at the Rio Summer Olympics? Here’s a look at the odds.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Gwen Jorgensen is favored to win the gold, as she has -200 odds. Other short odds to win are Helen Jenkins (+650) and Flora Duffy (+1000). The Rio Olympics take place from August 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Jorgensen competes for the United States. She has won the 2014 and 2015 World Championship in the triathlon. She competed at the 2012 Olympics and finished 38th, but that was due in part to a flat tire on her bike during the race.
Jenkins competes for Great Britain. She finished 21st at the 2008 Olympics and fifth in the 2012 games. She did win the 2011 and 2008 World Championship in this event.
Duffy competes for Bermuda. She has won the last two XTERRA World Championships in the triathlon. She does have Olympic experience as well, competing at the 2008 and 2012 games but was unable to medal.
