Battleground is a WWE special event that takes place tonight at 8PM ET and will air live on the WWE Network.
The main event is for the WWE Championship with former teammates Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns meeting up a triple threat match for the title. Oddsmakers at Bovada.lv have Ambrose as a -400 favorite to win, while Rollins is listed at +275and Reigns has +600 odds. Ambrose is the champion and seems to be getting a push while Reigns is the longshot as he is coming off a 30-day suspension for a failed drug test. Rollins is the dark horse in the match as he has carried the title for some time and done it well. One big factor is the WWE splitting into two shows, Raw and Smackdown, with each show having its own roster. Rollins is on Raw, the 3-hour flagship show. Ambrose is on Smackdown. Another featured match on Sunday has rivals Kevin Owns and Sami Zayn going head-to-head. Oddsmakers see Zayn as the favorite at -200, while Owens is getting a money line of +150 to win. Zayn and Owens have been rivals for over a year and this match is being billed as their final meeting. Owens has typically won all the big encounters they have had, which leads you to think that Zayn is finally going to get the last laugh. Owens is well established in the WWE as a top heel, while Zayn could use the win to get a push toward being a top rising star. Look for Zayn to get the victory tonight to start a strong run for him.
