Nikola Vucevic (right hamstring strain) is questionable for Monday’s game against the 76ers. Vucevic did not take part in Sunday’s practice, and now his name is on the official injury report. If he has to miss Monday’s game this would propel Tristan Thompson into the starting lineup, and there would be a significant drop-off in offensive production. Thompson would be worth streaming for rebounding a defensive value, but Vucevic’s absence would mean that even more of the scoring responsibilities would rest on the shoulders of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine.
Philadelphia 76ers DFS Notes
Joel Embiid was a perfect 14-of-14 from the foul line in Saturday’s 99-82 loss to the Heat, finishing with 22 points (4-of-15 FGs), 15 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 36 minutes. With James Harden (hamstring) ruled out, the Heat devoted nearly all of their defensive attention to Embiid. Swarmed when he received the ball with his back to the basket, Embiid was eventually used in the mid-post more often. Unfortunately, this didn’t change much within the flow of the offense, as Embiid missed all six of his 3-point attempts and couldn’t get going. But he did make frequent trips to the foul line, thus salvaging what was a difficult night for the MVP candidate. He’ll look to rebound Monday night when the 76ers host the Bulls.
